VALPARAI:- Situated in Coimbatoer district, Valparai is an attractive tourist destination of Tamil Nadu. This charming hill station stands at an altitude of 3,500 ft above sea level on the Anamalai Hills range of the Western Ghats. Set around 100 Kms from Coimbatore, the large portions of the land is owned by private tea companies, huge forest areas continue to be out of bounds.

ATHIRAPALLY:- Athirapally falls, a popular picnic spot, is located at a distance of 78 km from the buzzing town of Cochin in Kerala. Boasting of being 80 feet in length, the waterfalls is a haven for flora and fauna alike. The gushing waterfall finds it source from Chalakudy River..

Being home to some of the most endangered species of flora, the waterfalls is also a quite refuge for the endangered species of Hornbill. The cool ambiance and the tranquility felt in this place acts as a remedy for the exhausted souls. The waterfall is calm, peaceful, wild and challenging. This is a best and popular shooting spot.

Aliyar Dam

Foots of Valparai

Aliyar Dam lies on the foothills of Valparai around 27 Kms from Pollachi. It is an ideal picnic spot. Set near the dam are a well maitained park, an aquarium and mini-theme park run by the Tamil Nadu Fisheries Corporation. All these draw many tourists to Aliyar Dam.

Monkey Falls


Monkey Falls situated close to Aliyar Park on the Pollachi-Valparai road, it is also referred to as "Chinna Kutralam". These falls is one of the nature's finest and purest sources of minerals and ayurvedic formulations. Visiting monkey falls is sure to rejuvenate your mind and body.

Sholayar Dam


Sholayar Dam located at a distance of about 20 Kms from Valparai, this dam is a beautiful site to visit. It is the second deepest dam of Asia and attracts lots of tourists. A must see place while in Valparai.

Loam's View Point


Loam's View Point is in the 9th Hair Pin Bend. It is named after Mr. Mathew Loam, who marked the road in 1886. Very good view point. From we can see the full view of Aliyar Dam.

Koolangal River


Its a small river flowing with very clean water. Good place for toddlers and kids to hang around as the water is not deep. The pebbles seen in the bank of river and zigzag shape of the river is beautiful.

Balaji Temple


Balaji Temple Valparai is located with in the premises of Peria Karamalai tea estate. It is about 30 kms. from Coimbatore and 10 kms. from Valaparai. It is visited by a large number of devotees on week ends. Owned and managed by Karamalai Tea Industries, the temple amidst tea estates and sprawling hill ranges, gives us the sense of frosty and serene atmosphere.It can be reached by 500 meter walking on uphill slope as no parking facilities near by the shrine.Lord Balaji popularly known by other names like Vishnu or Venkateswara is the presiding deity. Aesthetic garden is maintained inside the temple block, which adds aroma to the air.

Chitti Vinayagar Temple


The temple, located 3 kms from Valparai is believed to have similarity to the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai. The main specialty of the temple is that the idol is engraved out of a single block of stone. The temple is owned by the Jayshree Tea Industries and is surrounded by tea plantation. The view from the temple is marvelous.

Nirar Dam


The water source at the dam never goes dry.the distance from dam 15km from valparai.The dam is built for multipurpose project such as irrigation,Hydro eletricity production.dam was situated in beautyful location covered by a forest.

Athirapally Falls


Athirappally Waterfalls is located 78 kms from Kochi (Cochin), located at the entrance to Sholayar ranges, this waterfall is a popular picnic spot. Affording to the onlookers, one of the most bewitching sights, Athirappally Falls is about 80 feet high and located in the forest area. Combined with the greenery, it infuses freshness into any tired soul. The Athirapally Falls join the Chalakkudy River after plummeting a drop of 80 feet.
